Description:

A stylish coffee cup & saucer from Italian design company Seletti, designed by Ctrlzak to reflect on the history of African and European designs. The newest addition to the Hybrid collection examines the sad history of European colonization across the globe illustrating the differences and similarities between the ancient cultures that were invaded and the Europeans themselves. The design aims to create new hybrids that juxtapose scenes and themes interpreted in the respective cultural imagery. These are contemporary forms that symbolize a diverse past. The Hybrid project looks once more to the past proposing a collection able to transcend geographical and political borders in order to create a new hybrid culture for our future.
